Why armless matters
Nobody Actually Sits The Way Chairs Are Designed
People sit sideways, cross-legged, with a leg tucked under, or curled into a corner with a book. Armrests stop all of that — they pin your legs and decide the one position you are allowed. Take them away and give the cushion a bit of width, and the chair stops arguing with how you want to sit.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much space does it need?
38.6 inches deep by 27.8 inches wide, and 43.3 inches front to back once you count the rockers. Leave a few inches of clearance behind it so it can rock freely.
Will it mark or scuff my floor?
The rockers have non-slip silent pads on the underside, which is what keeps it from squeaking or sliding on hard floors. On a very soft finish, a thin rug underneath is still sensible.
How low is the seat?
12.6 inches off the floor — deliberately low and lounge-like rather than upright dining height, which is what gives you room to sit cross-legged.
How hard is it to put together?
Two parts and 15 to 30 minutes: join the rocker base to the side frames, lay in the support sling, drop the cushion on. Fixings and instructions are in the box.
Can the cushion be cleaned?
Spot clean it with a soft damp cloth. The corduroy is wear-resistant, so marks lift without needing to soak the fabric.
Can I use it outdoors?
It is built for indoor use — a covered balcony is fine in dry weather, but leaving a wood frame and a fabric cushion out in rain will ruin both.
Shipping and returns?
Free shipping. If it is not right you have 30 days from delivery to return it for a full refund — e-mail support@solarie.shop and we will sort it out.
